County takes on ambitious habitat project (The Wenatchee World)

COLES CORNER — Chelan County and a host of federal and state agencies are beginning work that at least one official believes will be the most important fish habitat project ever done in North Central Washington. The estimated $6.4 million project will reconnect two old channels of Nason Creek that were cut off from the main stem when railroad tracks were first built there in the 1880s.
