Thursday afternoon a generator problem knocked out service between Philadelphia and New York City. An Amtrak power supply problem that knocked out service on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line and Midtown Direct service, has been repaired. Commuters should still expect delays Thursday night, but Amtrak believes travel will return to normal Friday.
